* PLEASE NO SKIRTS OR TUTUS UNLESS REQUESTED BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR
* PINK OR FLESH TONED TIGHTS THAT MATCH THE SKIN TONE OF THE DANCER
* PINK OR FLESH TONED BALLET SLIPPERS (CANVAS OR LEATHER, WE PREFER SPLIT SOLE)
* HAIR PULLED BACK NEATLY IN A BUN
* ANY FITTED POINTE SHOE (PREFERABLY NOT GAYNOR MINDNENS UNLESS RECOMMENDED BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR)
*Note that the color of the shoe MUST match the color of the tights worn. This is to achieve one, long continuous leg line which is essential to the artform of ballet. For performances, Martell School of Dance may request that the dancers all wear pink tights and pink ballet shoes with their costumes. This will be by the preference of the instructor.

* Fittet T-Shirts and tank tops permitted (hip level)
* No midriff should be visible

Spandex shorts (mid thigh lenght)
Fittet T-Shirts and tank tops permitted

Jazz & Musical theatre class = Tan leather jazz shoes, split sole, recommended
Lyrical class = Foot Paws
Fusion = Barefoot or Footpaws / Undies
Acro = Barefoot
Hip Hop = Clean sneackers never worn outside of the studio

TAP

Class Attire
Jazz pants (capri or full lenght flare)
Form fitting clothing (no baggy clothing or sweaty pants)
Hair neatly and securely pulled away from face

Tap Classes
Pre-Tap: Black, Mary Jane taps
1st-4th Grade: Black lace up or slip on tap
Level I – IV: Block respect tap (preferred) – no split soles
Level V – VI: Jason Samuels or any equivalent or professional level shoe. For further info please inquire at front desk.

CLOGGING

White clog shoes with buck taps installed. No split soles. Once you recieve the shoes, please take them to a local shoe cobbler to have tan skid pads installed. Sizing quides can be found on the website. It will take a month to six weeks to recieve the shoes after ordering. If you haven’t received by the time classes start it is ok to wear tap shoes until they arrive. If you have any questions please call the company, they are very helpful.

Two choices to order. These shoes have to be ordered as they are not wholesale. You can ask them to ship you two sizes if you are unsure what size to order. You can also ask current students if you can try on their shoes to find your size.
